"I kept thinking somebody should do something about this. But then I realised, I am somebody"

After leaving the clinical side of the profession, Dr Jessica Moore-Jones found workplace happiness in non-industry roles for many years. Upon returning to clinical practice part-time, Jess was struck by how little the industry had progressed and how unhappy so many people were. After struggling to get clinics or industry bodies to take her suggestions seriously, Jess decided that if she couldn't encourage change from within the industry, she could help enable it from without. And so VEOC was started.

Through knowledgeable experience

With a decade of experience growing and enhancing teams in the animal industry with a particular focus on staff engagement and culture, Dr Moore-Jones has advised governments, run veterinary clinics and been CEO of RSPCA Darwin. With an MBA combined with engagement scores from her own teams above 91%, Jess is keen to apply her passion for employee engagement and well-being to the profession she cares deeply about.

Committed to the success of both

Having been a business owner and an employee, and knowing from experience how hard it can be to balance staff well-being with financial outcomes, Dr Moore-Jones is on your side. With a strong belief that 'profit' is not a dirty word even if the animal industry, Jess has experience in engaging teams in meaningful and sustainable ways without breaking the bank.

The process is about getting the best outcomes for employees AND employers, rather than helping one at the expense of the other.
